Alongside many other councils and organisations across the nation, Higham Ferrers Town Council will hold a beacon lighting ceremony on the Market Square to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day. Rushden Town Band will be in attendance from 9pm, followed by a short service and the beacon will be lit at 9.30pm. The band will continue to play until 9.45pm. All public are welcome to attend.
