Serving the people of Higham Ferrers

On Saturday August 24th the Mayor hosted a Tea Dance at the Bede House in Higham Ferrers, in aid of his chosen charities for this Mayoral year. The guests enjoyed music from Jeff Hatton and a wonderful afternoon of traditional tea and dancing in a beautiful venue.

The event raised over £300 for the Mayor's charities, with guests partaking in a raffle and enjoying traditional cream teas.

The food from Savour the Flavour was enjoyed by all , there was indeed plenty of it and also the music by Jeff Hatton got some up dancing, others enjoying listening and generally having a really good time.

Thanks go to the many volunteers from Cando Care and Tourism who served the teas and washed up as well as Cllr Reavey for doing the raffle, Cllr Jackson for help setting up, and to everyone who purchased tickets.
