FOOTPATH CLOSED FOR SURFACING WORKS

FOOTPATH CLOSED FOR SURFACING WORKS

The short section of footpath from Bury Close towards the path (VC1) that links to Midland Road, is temporarily closed whilst the surface is upgraded to tarmac.

The works are expected to take 2 weeks and the Council apologises for the inconvenience whilst these works take place.

VOI E-SCOOTER TRIAL LAUNCHES IN RUSHDEN, HIGHAM FERRERS AND WELLINGBOROUGH

From today, Rushden, Higham Ferrers and Wellingborough will host a Voi e-scooter trial, giving its residents a new, green, accessible and socially distanced way of travel, particularly useful for journeys from one to three miles.

While Covid restrictions are in place, e-scooters enable key workers to make the necessary journeys without going on public transport or jumping on a car.

College Street Closed due to stone fall from Chichele College

Over the weekend there was a stone fall from the inner side of a historic perimeter wall at Chichele College. The masonry fell onto the college's garden. As a necessary safety precaution, the police have closed College Street, as well as the pavement, to protect the public from the risk of further falling masonry.
