It is with great sadness that the Council has learned of the death of former Mayor Mrs Jill Woodley, just one month short of her 103rd birthday. Mrs Woodley was elected to Higham Ferrers Borough Council in November 1958 and was Mayor between 1963 and 1964. Yesterday, (8th November) a commemorative veteran figure was unveiled by the War Memorial in Higham Ferrers.
