Job Title: Parks, Open Spaces and Facilities Supervisor

Salary: Salary Scale SCP 7-12 (£11.63 - £12.73)

Hours: Part time. 15 hours per week worked on a rota basis including some weekends. The successful candidate may also be asked to work more hours to cover holidays and sickness.

Proposed Start Date: Immediate start

Higham Ferrers Town Council is a proactive and forward thinking Council that serves a vibrant, attractive historic market town with a current population of around 9000. The main purpose of this role is to:-

Work with the Town Clerk who is responsible for the day to day management and health and safety of the land and buildings within the Town Councils property portfolio, liaising with office staff and contractors.

Oversee and assist the Park Warden to ensure all parks and open spaces in Higham Ferrers are maintained to a high standard.

The successful applicant must:

  • Be able to work alone and effectively organise personal workloads
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours
  • Hold a valid driving licence to be able to drive the council van
  • Have the ability to undertake a diverse range of work
  • Demonstrate good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be confident at working with the public and have a positive attitude
