JOB VACANCY - ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Job Title: Administration Officer

Salary: Salary Scale SCP 18 -22 - (£9.299 -£10.632 per hour).

Hours: Part–Time 12 hours per week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am – 2pm (The role will include working some weekends and evenings.)

Contract Term: Initially 12 months

Proposed Start Date: - As soon as possible

Higham Ferrers is a proactive, forward thinking Quality Council. Over the last 15 years the town has expanded rapidly and is due to expand further including taking responsibility for more open space.

Due to a reduction in hours of an existing member of staff, an Administration Officer is required. This role is customer facing and will be based at the Town Hall. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with integrity, diplomacy when dealing with people and strong organisational skills. There may be an opportunity to expand the role in future.

The successful applicant must:

  • Be a confident and outgoing person with an interest in the community,
  • Have a good level of literacy and numeracy
  • Be computer literate
  • Have good communication skills which include the following:ul>
  • Experience of face –to face, telephone, email and letter writing in a business capacity.
  • Organisation and administration.
  • Be willing to undertake training
