With the number of different Councils locally it is sometimes difficult to know who to contact when you have a problem. Here are some of the frequently asked questions.
Highway Problems including pavements and public footpaths.

Do not use the online service if the situation is urgent.
Street Lighting problems
The Northamptonshire County Council is responsible for the design, installation and maintenance of street lights. Please contact the Street Doctor at http://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/Transport/PEM , having to hand the exact location of the lamp and the lamp number if this is possible.
I bought something off the internet and there is a problem

I am having problems with a rat infestation in a nearby property
Contact East Northamptonshire Council on 01832-742000 asking for the Pest Control Officer
I have a problem with a Wasp Nest in my house or garden
This is also dealt with by the East Northamptonshire Council Pest Control Officer as above.
Who do I talk to about a Planning Application?
All Planning Applications are dealt with by East Northamptonshire Council. Contact them on 01832-742000 and ask to speak to the Duty Planning Officer.
I am having a problem with my refuse collection or with Fly Tipping
Contact East Northamptonshire Council on 01832-742000 asking for the Environmental Health Department
I have a problem with a local park or open space area.
Most areas of Open Space and parks are managed by Higham Ferrers Town Council. Contact the Town Hall on 01933-312075 or email
info@highamferrers-tc.gov.uk.
Anti Social Behaviour problems

Where can I have my say on Local Crime Issues?
A quarterly public forum called Towards A Safer Higham (TASH) is open to all residents and is attended by local Councillors and the Police. Contact the Town Hall on 01933-312075 for news of the next Meeting.
