Tennis Courts and MUGA Hire

The Council has a Multi Use Games Area and Tennis Courts situated at Saffron Road Recreation Ground which are available for public hire.

The hire of these facilities is handled by the Town Hall and can be booked by calling personally Monday to Friday between 9.30a.m. and 1.30p.m. or they can be booked on a weekday between 2.30p.m and 5.30 p.m. and on Saturday or Sunday morning between 9.00a.m. and 10.30a.m. by telephoning the Key Custodian on 07765 194561. Please note that this service is only available strictly between these times.

All hirers must be over 18 years of age and produce two items of identification, one with a photograph together with a utility bill to prove their address. All hirers must pay a £25 returnable key deposit in addition to the hire fee at the time of hire, all fees to be paid in cash.

The Council has fixed for a limited period to 31 October 2009 that all hire charges be reduced by 50% making the charges payable £2.50 per hour per tennis court, and £10.00 per hour for the Multi Use Games Area.
