New Mayor Installed
The new Mayor of Higham Ferrers for the year 2011/12 was installed at the Annual Council Meeting on 23 May 2011. He is Councillor Bert Jackson and his Mayoress for the year will be his grand-daughter Katie Jackson. The Deputy Mayor was also installed and is Councillor Mrs. Sheila Mantle.
The Mayor's chosen charities for the year will be the Swivel Club and the Alzheimer's Society.
